Alan Scott Turner, 52, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 from a long battle with brain cancer (Glioblastoma).
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2 PM at Biggers Funeral Home located at 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76135
Scott was born July 16, 1967 in Shreveport, LA. Growing up in Louisiana, Scott enjoyed hunting and fishing and all activities that allowed him to be outdoors. Scott was active in youth sports including baseball. Scott attended both Southwood and Northwood High School and was a member of the 1985 graduating class.
After high school, Scott joined the Navy where he proudly served his country retiring after twenty years of service.
Scott is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Hurst Turner and father, Ronald James Turner.
He is survived by his daughter, Alexandria Turner; son, Devin Hanson; step-daughter, Danielle Morrison; step-son Chance Morrison; brother, Michael Wayne Russell and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Scott’s name to www.gregsmission.org. This was an organization close to Scott as their mission is “To provide one-on-one support to brain cancer patients and their caregivers.”
