GRANBURY — Alma B. Davis, 89, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 in Granbury. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Granbury. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: Cook Children’s Medical Center or First Baptist Church.
Alma was born Aug. 15, 1925 in Fort Monroe, VA. to James and Annie Alice Walters Beattie. She married Hubert L. Davis on May 1, 1948 in West Point, New York. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served the church with her husband. She trained hospital workers, was a Red Cross Gray Lady for many years and a member of the Theta Roe Optimist Club. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 22, 2005; and sisters, Nancy Krichbaum and Joan Pearless M. Moreau.
Survivors: Daughters, Sharon and husband, Kelly Ransom of Granbury and Nancy and husband, Scott Switzer of Mt. View, Ark.; sons, Timothy James Davis of Queensland, Australia, Steven Glen and wife, Mariya Davis of Lewisville and Robert Alan and wife, Linda Davis of Georgetown; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
