Alma Thompson, 83, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017. Services will be held at a later date.
Alma was born on December 9, 1933 in Dallas County, Texas to Arthur and Myrtle Tinsley. She married the love of her life, Johnny Thompson, and for over 60 years, they were inseparable. Taking care of Johnny was something she relished. Alma was an excellent cook, and enjoyed family time around the table. She loved games of all types; computer and card, and enjoyed working puzzles. She loved reading Reader’s Digest and Guideposts on her Kindle. Alma moved to Granbury in 2015 from Independence, MO. She enjoyed living in the Gardens of DeCordova community. Alma was preceded in death by her son: “Corky” John Julian Thompson, Jr., siblings Gerald Tinsley, Lois Hott, Vernon Tinsley, Earl Tinsley, Raymond Tinsley, and William Tinsley.
Alma is survived by her husband, Johnny Thompson, granddaughter: Teri Thompson, daughter-in-law: Linda Thompson, sister-in-laws: Pearl Tinsley, and Martha Tinsley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
