Celebration of Life
Althea “Diane” Swiney Kottwitz, age 73, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Diane Swiney was born on December 15, 1948 in Greensburg, Kansas to the late Doc and Oleta Swiney.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Ken Kottwitz; son, Kevin Kottwitz and wife, Kim; sister, Sue McCoy and husband, Jimmy; brother, Edward Swiney; grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Dax and Gracie. She had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Chad and Michael and brother, James Swiney.
Diane had many passions throughout the years. She enjoyed all sorts of crafting. She loved to quilt, so much that she had her own “she shed” that held her sewing and embroidery machines. Diane liked to make blankets for the family and church members. In her earlier years, she was a very talented artist who painted many beautiful pictures. She loved being with family on camping trips and loved to fish. She also loved her fur babies, Roxie and Jazzie. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of Castleberry Baptist Church.
