Al was born July 6, 1924, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, to C.R. and Sarah Dawson Durboraw. He was a member of the Second Marine Division, where he earned his purple heart in the battle of Tarawa. After the war, he attended TCU, where he earned his degree.
He was a devoted Christian, strong, and loving, and the most positive man one will ever meet. He was truly the greatest father a child could ever have, and we, as his daughter and sons were blessed to have him as our dad. He will forever be missed in our daily lives, but will remain in our hearts forever. “You were a great man, “Charlie Brown!”
He is survived by his daughter, April Durboraw; sons, Barry Durboraw, Van Durboraw and his wife, Julie; grandchildren, Morgan and Murphey Durboraw; two nieces.
