Arthur Edwards

Arthur Glen Edwards, Sr., 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2019, Church of Christ, Lipan, Interment: Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Visitation: 10:00 AM until service time, Friday, Church of Christ, Lipan. Memorials may be made to Foster’s Home for Children, Stephenville or to Church of Christ, Lipan Building Fund.
Arthur was born on April 23, 1934 in Patillo, Texas to William and Gladys Edwards. Spending time with his family and friends brought him much joy. Arthur was known for starting his mornings off with a Mountain Dew and a Snickers. As a country guy, he loved riding horses, hunting and fishing. He farmed peanuts, maize and oats, and ranched both cattle and sheep. He also worked at Norton Saint-Gobain for 13 years. He was an active member of Church of Christ, Lipan. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Arthur is survived by his sons: A. G. Edwards, Jr. and wife Rhonda, and Jacky Edwards and wife Mishelle, grandchildren: Sonya, Kevin, Ashley, Chad, Michael, Sheena, Carissa, Bethany, Andrew, Alisha, Pearl, James, and Gloria, 19 great-grandchildren: siblings: Linda Gilbert and Ronald Edwards, special friends: Samantha, Kaelyn and Mike, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
