SAGINAW — Austin James Holland, 19, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation: noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Austin was born March 12, 1992, in Bedford to Douglas and Cecilia Holland. He was a lifelong area resident and a 2010 graduate of Saginaw High School. He was an avid sportsman and loved watching and playing football. He loved animals and adored his dog Copper and loved holding the family puppies. Austin had many friends and a large family, all of whom he loved dearly.
Austin was a Christian, who was saved and professed Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
Survivors: His parents, Doug and Cecilia Holland of Saginaw; his siblings, Jennifer Robertson, Colton Holland, Rachel Holland, Jonathan Holland and Katie Holland, all of Saginaw; his grandparents, Eddy Holland of Euless and Betty Holland of Richland Hills; his great-grandfather, Eddie Holland of Irving; his girlfriend, Phylisha Benavides; nephew, Ayden Robertson; uncles, Kenneth Holland and Paul Robertson and wife, Pennee; and cousins, Steven Robertson and Larry Holland.
