Barbara Jean Ellington, 84, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday November 23, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Service: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday November 29, 2021 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the funeral home.
Barbara was born July 20, 1937 in Haltom City to James E. and Lillian E. Daniels. She was a lifelong area resident and was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, Bobby A. Ellington.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She faithfully served her Lord in the ministry for over 50 years with the love of her life, Reverend Bob Ellington.
Barbara loved being with her family and enjoyed playing the Accordian and singing in the Ministry. She loved being in the kitchen and cooking for her family and always had her door open to anyone who wanted to come and join the family. Her favorite phrase was ” ya’ll ate yet?”
In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and loved collecting “Angels”. She was involved in Penny Princess, Missionettes, and Women’s Ministry with the Assembly of God.
Barbara was the perfect example of sharing and living out the Love of God.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors: Include her daughters, Margie Murphy of Arlington and Christy Roper and her husband, Jay of Azle; sister, Linda Coon and her husband, Tony of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Tamera Clark, Jeffrey Murphy, and Kenzie Pittman; great-grandchildren, Colby Clark, Elias Pittman, and Noah Pittman.
