GRANBURY — Barbara Jean English, 83, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Wiley Funeral Home.
Barbara was born Jan. 11, 1931, in McAllen. She had lived in Granbury since 1993 and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She retired from First of Fort Worth (now Bank of America) and worked at Lakeside Baptist Church for five years and The Promise for several years. Barbara was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Lake Granbury Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Melvin Shoemaker and Ella Braune Shoemaker, husband, John Henry English, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors: Sons, Richard English and wife, Lynn, of Granbury, Michael English and wife, Vicky, of DeCordova; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, Chad, Brent; three great grandchildren; brother, John Shoemaker of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.
