On Friday, May 15, 2020, loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, Barrett Dean Guyton passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior.
Barrett was born on June 20, 1979 in Jackson, Mississippi to Dean and Helen Guyton. He spent his childhood in Lubbock, Texas and later moved to Highland Village, Texas where he graduated High School. On June 26, 2004 Barrett married the love of his life Allison Colman and they went on to raise two beautiful children together.
Barrett attended Texas Tech University earning his degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management in 2003. He went on to lead a career in the transportation and logistics industry.
Barrett had a big heart and always looked for the best in everything and everyone. He could light up a room with his sense of humor and bigger than life personality. Barrett never met a stranger and when he did, he went out of his way to make them feel like they were the most important person in the room.
He was an avid golfer and sports fan. Barrett especially enjoyed golf, baseball and NASCAR. He enjoyed hunting with his family. This was a tradition that held many special memories from childhood and Barrett continued this through his adult life. However, Barrett’s greatest passion was music and playing his guitar. He had a God given gift of being able to hear a song one time and play it perfectly.
Barrett was most proud of his family. He cherished his wife, children, parents, siblings and extended family. As a father, he never missed a game or dance recital and spent most of his time being his children’s biggest fan and supporter. Nothing was more precious to Barrett than the time that they spent together.
Barrett is survived by his wife, Allison Colman; children, Bryce and Ava; parents, Helen and Dean Guyton; brothers, Blake Guyton and wife, Mallory, Beau Guyton and wife, Natalie; sister, Brooke Guyton Ellis and husband, Nolan; nieces, Savannah, Kate, Emilia; nephew, Noah; grandmother, Mary Gallaway.
