Becky was born in Hillsboro Texas to George and Emma Jane Garrison (Crowe). After graduating from Hillsboro High School, she attended Texas Tech University and received her Bachelor of Science in Education. She married John (Randy) Curtis also of Hillsboro on December 7, 1974. Becky and John moved to Glen Rose with their daughter Bryn in the early 80’s.

Becky was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed being with her grandsons Judd and Colton and her dog Aussie. She was a wonderful teacher and taught for Glen Rose ISD for 27 years. Even after retirement, she continued to be a presence at Glen Rose schools, substitute teaching and attending volleyball and basketball games.

Becky was very active in First Baptist Church, Glen Rose, serving on several committees and especially in her Sunday school class as the outreach person.

She loved to read, travel with John in the camper, especially for their annual New Mexico trip and spend time with her boys.

Becky was preceded in death by her father George Garrison.

Survivors are her husband John (Randy) Curtis, of Glen Rose, her mother Emma Jane Garrison, daughter Bryn, her husband John and their sons Judd and Colton of Allen, Texas. She also has a brother, Mike and his wife Sharon Garrison of Athens, Texas and a sister, Jan Canup, of Hico.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Somervell County Cancer Association.

A celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church in Glen Rose on Saturday, September 2nd at 2:00 pm.
