Ben M. White went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2016, in Fort Worth surrounded by his devoted family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2nd, at University Baptist Church, 2720 Wabash Avenue in Fort Worth. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1st, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave., Lake Worth.
Memorial donations may be made to University Baptist Church or the New Life Deaf Fellowship.
Ben was born in Wadsworth, Texas, on October 27, 1935, and graduated from Bay City High School in 1954. He received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in 1959. He had a long successful career as a general contractor and was the owner of Tyson Building Corporation for 45 years.
Ben was a Mason and a member of University Baptist Church.
Among Ben’s many hobbies were cruising the world, fishing, boating, gunsmithing, and making friends.
Ben never met a stranger and made everyone feel special. He was compassionate and funny, and even in his last days, made the doctors and nurses laugh. Everyone loved Ben. He had many long-lasting friendships and will be sorely missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Bernice White.
Ben is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Pat White; his children, Jesse White and his wife, Susie, of Wortham, Randy White and his wife, Lisa, of Houston, and Krista White of Fort Worth; he was also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
