Nellobeth (Beth) Rodgers Johnson, 91, passed away on Friday; October 2, 2020.
She was born September 8, 1929 in Hood County, Texas to Willie R. and Florida Herring Rodgers.
In her earlier years, Beth traveled extensively while married to her husband Truman Johnson during his time serving in the military living in Germany twice. She also served with the American Red Cross and was member of Southside Baptist Church. Beth tried very hard but was unsuccessful in teaching her daughters how to sew. She did however, teach them to be strong and to stand on their own. Her passion was being surrounded by her loving family. She loved quilting and reading. Beth loved unconditionally.
Beth is survived by her daughters, Beverly Cullum and husband Dwight and Gayle Saffle and husband Gary; daughter-in-law, Donna Johnson; (9) grandchildren, Kevin Durant, Wesley Durant, Mechele Wahlberg, Wayne Saffle, Cole Saffle, Kristel Saffle, Rindy Cook, Cameron Johnson and Darik Johnson; (19) great-grandchildren; sister, Roberta Huddleston and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Duane Johnson, great-grandsons, Jordan and Payton Durant; brothers, Ed Rodgers, Joe Rodgers and Roland Rodgers; sisters, Ellen Wilson, Ella Mae Lewis and Cleo Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM. Monday; October 5, 2020 in Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel with entombment following at Holly Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Granbury.
