FORT WORTH — Betty Jean Forsythe, 85, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in White Church Cemetery in Somervell County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Memorials: Alzheimer or Dementia Association.
Betty Jean was born Feb. 12, 1927 in Midlothian to Earl and Betty Burkett Williams. She graduated from Walnut Springs High School in 1944 and married Dewey Forsythe on June 9, 1945. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in White Settlement. She loved to sew, read and spend time with her family. She enjoyed hamburgers, KFC, Dr. Peppers and working in the library at her apartment. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 10, 1989 and by a daughter-in-law, Addie Forsythe.
Survivors: Daughter, Bobbie Jean and husband, Roger Mooney; sons, Raymond Dewey Forsythe, Kenneth Dwayne and wife, Patty Forsythe all of Fort Worth and Michael Ray and wife, Polly of Aledo; grandchildren, Terry, Chad, Tabatha, Toni, Jodi and Katy; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Dolores Ann Zimmerman of Dallas.
