Betty M. Johannesen, 81, a longtime Fort Worth resident, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, in Davenport, Florida.
A service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Caddo Cemetery near Joshua. The family will receive friends 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday prior to the service.

Betty Mae Holley was born April 04, 1931, in Bladen, Ohio. She married Basil W. Johannesen on August 4, 1951. In 1966, the Johannesen family moved to Fort Worth. Betty called Fort Worth home until 2009 when she moved to Florida to live with her son due to declining health.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son; three brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Morris R. Johannesen and wife, Jayne, of Clermont, Florida, Rhonda E. Brinson and husband, Larry, of Azle, Gregory C. Johannesen and partner, Cary Covington, of Fort Worth, Warren R. Holley of Fort Worth and Jack W. Johannesen and wife, Esther, of Harker Heights; four sisters; four brothers; her daughter-in-law and caregiver for the last 25 years, Margo A. Johannesen of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
