GLEN ROSE — Bill C. Mullen, 70, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in the Glen Rose High School Auditorium. Interment: Georges Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Bill was born May 8, 1941, in Cleburne to Thomas James Mullen and Hazel Collins Mullen. He married Ruth Nichols on Dec. 30, 1980, in Glen Rose. He was raised and attended school in Glen Rose, where he raised his family. He owned and operated Bill Mullen Wrecker Service in Somervell County for over 50 years and later was a manager for Bruner Motors in Glen Rose. He was a member of New Prospect Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Ruth Mullen of Glen Rose; children, Kimberly Howard, Charlotte Marsh, Lyndol Shelnutt and Deborah Phipps; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Orr and husband, Lowell; brother, Gary Mullen and wife, Linda; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
