GRANBURY — Bill Ritchie “Grunt”, 63, a resident of Granbury, Texas, passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 25, 2015 in Weatherford, Texas.
Memorial service: Services to be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2016, at The Way Church, 4332 East Hwy 377 in Granbury, Texas. Casual attire for those attending services.
Bill was born on October 7, 1952 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Wilfred and Dorothy Ritchie. He grew up in Greentown, Ohio where he and his Dad owned a service station and operated that business together. Bill happily married Doreen Esselburn in 1972. After that glorious occasion he moved his family to Texas in 1979. His passion was building motorcycles and trikes and he belonged to The Brothers of the Third Wheel. He adored riding the open road with his Savior and enjoyed finding the mystery in every machine he worked on. Bill carried God’s glory within him and always had a smile for those that needed one! Bill was a beloved brother and member of The Way Church and was loved by all.
Preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Ritchie and his father-in-law, Bud Esselburn.
Survivors: Wife, Doreen Ritchie; daughter, Lucinda “Cindy Lou” Ritchie; mother, Dorothy Ritchie of Canada; brother, Rohn Ritchie of Canada; uncle, Max Ritchie; aunt, Pam Knutty; aunt, Juanita and John Smith of Ohio; cousin, Terri and Tom Riggerbach of Ohio and many more; father and mother-in-law, Miriam and John Henry; brothers and sisters-in law, Donna and Dave Buchanan, Diana and Jim Cook, David Esselburn and Doug and Rachel Esselburn.
