Billie was born on October 12, 1927 in Colorado City, Texas to Arthur and Ora Bloodworth. She married Grover Harris on November 24, 1943 in Mitchell County. She could often be found helping Grover in the garden and in the pecan groves. She loved to cook and she was a giver; you never left Billie’s house without a jar of jelly or a bag of her famous biscuits.
Billie lived in Snyder, Texas from 1949 until 1972. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years where she was a long distance switchboard operator.
Billie was an active member of Mambrino Baptist Church for 37 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Grover Harris and their son, Bobby Glynn Harris, two brothers, Doug and Joe Bloodworth, and two sisters, Bernice B. McKinney and Ruth Bloodworth.
Billie is survived by her two sisters: Nell Bloodworth Toombs and Geneva Bloodworth Lewis and many loving nieces and nephews.
