On March 30, 2018 Billie passed on to receive her Heavenly reward.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Jaybird Cemetery.
Visitation: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Billie was born October 17, 1934 to William Carl and Alta Jewell (London) Massey. She was a wonderful, loving and loyal wife, caring and giving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She had a great love for the teachings of the Bible and, through her study, an extensive knowledge. She was an extraordinary teacher of the Bible through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and in her personal relationships. She had a natural ability to comfort others with prayer.
In addition to her love and devotion to The Lord, was her love for her family. She was a caring selfless woman who made a life of taking care of others, from family and friends to the smallest orphaned animals.
She was accomplished in many areas, had many interests and hobbies. She was a graduate of the Baptist Seminary, beautiful quilt maker, watercolor artist and gardener, a meticulous “handywoman” who built her own custom cabinetry and birdhouses. She had a vast knowledge of birds and was an avid birdwatcher. Her love for cooking and baking for family and friends showed in her Sunday and Holiday meals. She loved photography in nature and documenting family events. She loved to travel, to the beach, to Kentucky and to Bluegrass festivals.
She had an easy accepting way about her. Her gentle and loving nature drew people to her, she will be greatly missed by so many. The Lord has called his Faithful Servant home, home to her reward for a life well lived.
Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful, kind and thoughtful staffs of Willow Park Care and College Park Care, for their extraordinary personal attention to our mother. Special thanks to the Masons from Eureka Lodge #371 Springtown, TX for her final escort.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Allen, and by daughters, Belinda Steele and Beverly Polly.
Survivors: Her son, Bradley C. Allen and his wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Alisha Polly, Heath Steele, and Dylan Steele; a number of nieces and nephews.
