June was my second mom since I was 13 years old. She taught me many things through the years, but most of all she taught me unconditional love. She was an excellent teacher, mother and the greatest gran-gran anyone could ever have. God Bless you. Debbie Cheek

The world has lost a very special lady, full of love for all she came into contact with. Oh how She loved to work with the youth. She never saw a child she didn't immediately fall in love with. I miss my dear friend but I know she will be in heaven playing endlessly with the children. God speed June bug.
Susan Haberlin left a message on September 28, 2019:
Her dedication to the youth in our community as well as the youth at Acton Methodist Church. June really loved the children and it showed every where she went. I was blessed to have known her and for being able to spend time with her. June will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was a bright light in this some times dreary world. Her light will shine on in heaven where she will spend endless time playing with the children. I will miss you my dear friend.

Oh what a joy it was to have worked with June. During my first years teaching, June was my supervising diagnostician. She was encouraging and very supportive. Because of her, my first few years of teaching were wonderful. She is a jewel and will be missed.

I went to school with Charles and then, later in life, I had the pleasure of working with June in special ed for FWISD. She was a wonderful co-worker, who was down-to-earth, hard working, and dedicated to the students, and who had a great sense of humor. Deepest sympathy to the family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
