Billy Mowell, our loving father, husband, brother and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, April 27, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and closest friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Worth Baptist Church.
Billy was born August 9, 1943, in Haskell to parents LeNola Rinn Mowell and James William Mowell. He was a wonderful person, hard worker and insanely funny who found humor in everything he did. He graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1962. He loved his “Bullfrogs” and was a major supporter of the school and attended every event that his daughters were a part of when they were in school. He had a successful career in manufacturing working as a manager for both Snapper Power Equipment and Traulsen where he retired in 2008.
Billy enjoyed spending time with his wife, Angela and their close friends, “The Wild Bunch,” and went on many trips with them during his retirement. He loved all of his grandchildren and was a great “Pa Pa” to all of them.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Angela Mowell of Granbury; daughters, Melanie Brandt and husband, Chris, of Fort Worth and Heather Wood and husband, Michael, of Fort Worth; stepsons, Willis Andrus of Godley, Andy Andrus of Godley and Robert Andrus of Granbury; brother, Jerry Mowell and wife, Pat, of Brownfield; sister, Nancy Heiser of Lake Worth; nephews, Kendall Mowell and wife, Marsha, of Killeen, Rodney Heiser of Fort Worth and Billy Heiser and wife, Laura, of Fort Worth; nieces, Tina Heiser of Lake Worth and Janet Mowell of Brownfield; grandchildren, Carly Brandt, Gracie Brandt, Caden Wood, Jacob Andrus, Courtney Andrus and Christopher Andrus.
