Bobby Wayne Wright was born on March 10, 1950 in Forth Worth, Texas to Orville and Dorothy Marie (Garrett) Wright. He grew up in a far different time in River Oaks, Texas. It was a time of long summer days when children left the house in the morning barefoot and played until they were called home for supper at sundown. It was a wonderful time when kids played outdoors and there was always something to do. One of his favorite pastimes was digging elaborate tunnels in the back acre of the family property. No one knew how long some of the tunnels were until the big rain came and they all caved in. His grandparents put an end to the tunnels after the big cave in. Another of his favorite pastimes was what he called “army guys” with those little green army men in a sand pile with all the kids from the neighborhood joining in.
Bobby served in the Army in Korea. After his service, he had a career as a long haul truck driver.
Bobby loved puppy dogs, little children, and motorcycles. Some of his best times were spent with his motorcycle buddies.
Bobby was a simple man and always had a smile and a big laugh. This kind and simple man who always did it “his way” has left us now but will be remembered always by friends and loved ones.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Shea Wright; grandsons, Jonathan Wright and Joshua Wright; sister, Bess Healy and her husband, Donnie; niece, Tracy Healy; nephew, Patrick Healy; great Nieces and Nephews; great-great Nieces and Nephews; and Linda and David Hawkins.
