Bonnye Lee Burt, 90, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 in a hospice facility in Whitney, Texas.

She was born May 19, 1926 in Perryton, Texas to Frank and Irma Smith Talley.

She married John Ellis Burt, who preceded her in death on February 20, 1979.  They had two daughters, Ellisann Wood and Shannon Burt.

Bonnye loved her daughters and enjoyed sharing in their sports activities, both when they were playing and later when they were Girls Volleyball and Basketball coaches.  She was an accomplished Bridge player and played whenever possible until she was no longer able to drive.

She lived in her home in North Richland Hills, TX until she moved to Whitney, Texas where she lived in a nursing home closer to her daughter and son-in-law.

Survivors:  Ellisann Wood and husband Robert of Whitney; Shannon Burt and spouse, Kim McKibben of Loves Park, Illinois; step-grandchildren, Denise Wood and Robert Wood, Jr. and wife Wendy of Dallas.
