Brent Michael Sanborn

Brent Michael Sanborn passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2018, Stonewater Church, Granbury, Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, April 27, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brent Michael Sanborn Scholarship in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. Checks can be made payable to Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. and mailed to Box 45025, Lubbock, TX 79409-5025. Please indicate the scholarship name in the check memo.
Brent was born on January 7, 1994 to Kevin and Lou Anne Sanborn. Everyone who knows Brent knows he was driven to succeed. He was competitive. He was a hard worker. He was an “all-in” kind of guy.
It didn’t matter whether it was baseball or business; school or skiing, investing or entrepreneurial ventures; Brent was all-in.
Brent graduated from Granbury High School in 2012. Brent graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech with a Master’s degree in Accounting in May of 2017. He was the president of his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi. He invested in houses, sold real estate and subsequently owned his own business before he was 24 years old. Brent worked hard to be successful and he was successful, but that is not the important thing to remember. The important thing to remember about his accomplishments was that he wanted to share his success with others.
Don’t dwell on how Brent died. Remember how Brent lived.
Brent is preceded in death by his grandfathers: Richard Sherley and Leroy Lovewell.
Brent is survived by his parents: Kevin and Lou Anne Sanborn, twin sister: Brittany Sanborn, sister: Brooke Sanborn, grandmothers: Nina Sherley and Bette Lovewell, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
