GRANBURY — Briggs Berry, 18, a senior at Granbury High School, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 in Fort Worth. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lakeside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House, c/o Briggs Berry, 1001 8th Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104, 817-870-4942.
Briggs was born April 16, 1996 in Fort Worth and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and his golf team advanced to the state tournament his sophomore year at Granbury High School. He was on the leadership team and YAC-PAC representing Cook Children’s Hospital, he taught Children’s Church at Lakeside for several years and was the champion child of Texas in 2013 representing Cook Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Briggs loved to duck hunt with his friends and was a “super fan” supporting Granbury High School volleyball and other sports.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tyler
