Burton Edward Preissinger, 61 passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at his home in Granbury, TX.
Memorial service will be at Acton United Methodist Church at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 followed by a Celebration of Life at DeCordova Bend Country Club.
Burt was born to R. L. and Eunice Wynell Boteler on September 24, 1956 in Fort Worth, TX. He was the youngest of 4 brothers – Bob, Benny, Denny and Burt. He was step son to Mary Evelyn Fondren and step brother to Vernon and Vincent Fondren, and Vanessa Keil. Later attending Friendswood and Burton High Schools. It was there through friends he met his wife of 41 years, Kathy. They were married August 7th, 1976. God then blessed him with an amazing family.
A son, Greg, and his wife, Meagan Preissinger, followed by a daughter, Kindy, and her husband, Joey Blackwell.
He was incredibly proud of being a PawPaw to 5 grandchildren. Griffin and Gage Preissinger and Kennedy, Bella and Deacon Blackwell.
Burt was a self-made entrepreneur starting his first business in 1980. After moving to Granbury, he worked in the tire and automotive industry for several years before starting a new business which later became FiberTech, Inc. and a second business BellyFul Catering.
Burt was a very generous, funny and larger than life kind of guy. He enjoyed golf, playing with his grandchildren, and family. He loved wearing bright colored clothes and making people laugh.
Burt supported several charities and would like memorials to go to one of the following-
Hood County Children’s Charity
Rainbow Room of Hood Co.
Acton Volunteer Fire Dept.
