C. Michael Shaw of Granbury, 71, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Granbury.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Wiley Funeral Home.

Michael was born May 15, 1943 in Stamford to Fred Moore Shaw and Thelma Martin Shaw.

He married Sharon Humbert Oct. 2, 1965 in Dallas. He had lived in Granbury since 1994.

Michael retired as vice president of Hough-Mifflan Publishing Co. He enjoyed writing music, playing guitar and working in his yard.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Fred Shaw, Jr. and sisters, Sue Ham and Dorothy Jean Shaw.

Survivors: Wife, Sharon Shaw of Granbury; son, Stephen Shaw and wife Meredith of Bedford; daughters, Melissa Alamo and husband Joel of Colorado, Michelle Pawski and husband Herb of Bedford; grandchildren, Drew Alamo, Parker Alamo; sisters, Virginia Davison and husband Bert of North Carolina, Bernelle Schmidt of Galveston, Chris Owens of Louisiana; and brother, Jim Shaw of Midland.
