Calvin Bobby Ruzicka, born October 23, 1943, passed away at home on Monday, May 29, 2017.
Service: There will be a celebration of his life on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Biggers Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Calvin’s name to the American Heart Association or the charity of the giver’s choice.
Early in his career, Calvin worked locally with Bell Helicopter and General Motors. He spent the majority of his career with Chemcentral working over 30 plus years in sales and various management positions throughout offices in Texas, Toronto, and Buffalo, New York. After retirement, Calvin was happy to be back in the DFW area enjoying time with family and friends, especially on the golf course. An avid golfer, some of Calvin’s best times were on the links, whether playing with Raenell, his clients, or a foursome of friends. Calvin found joy in watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and various college and high school football teams, especially the Cedar Hill Longhorns where son, Calvin coaches. Calvin also took great pride in maintaining many lifelong friendships with his fellow Lake Worth Bullfrogs.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Ruzicka of Fort Worth.
Survivors: Calvin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann “Raenell” Ruzicka; his daughter, Cheryl; his son, Calvin Todd and wife, Julie; grandsons, Darron and wife, Jami, and Mason; great-grandsons, Caden and Brady, all of Arlington; His other surviving family members also include his sister, Gladys Burkhalter of San Antonio; his beloved Aunt Frances Dudik of Buckholts; Other special relationships in Calvin’s life included nephews, David, Scott and Darryl Burkhalter, Jeff and Janna Russell along with their children Brett, Jansen, Tori and Chase as well as many more relatives, friends and extended family.
