GLEN ROSE — Carlie B. English, 87, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in Glen Rose.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Glen Rose First Baptist Church. Burial: Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: First Baptist Church, Glen Rose, Texas.
Mrs. English was born July 23, 1926, in Vicksburg, Miss., to Julius and Mable Davis Brannon. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Carlie enjoyed sewing, singing at funerals and weddings, playing piano and telling stories. She was always reading and learning. Carlie loved her church and her family was her joy. Preceding her in death were her parents, Julius and Mable Brannon, husband, Dr. Robert D. English, and sister, Ethelyn Clark.
