Carol Ann Cobb

Carol was received into the arms of Jesus on the evening of Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Visitation: 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel.

Services: 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel.

A procession to the National Cemetery in Dallas, will commence afterwards.

For anyone who wishes to attend, Carol requested that bright and cheerful clothing be worn in celebration of her life.

Carol was born July 6, 1951 in Schenectady, New York, to a very patriotic family.  She graduated from Waterloo High School in June, 1969, and later enlisted in the Air Force that following August. After finishing her basic training on Lackland A.F.B. in San Antonio, Texas, she did her medical training at Shepard A.F.B. in Wichita Falls. Carol was then assigned to Wilford Hall Medical Center, back in San Antonio, where she volunteered to work in the Neuro-surgery ICU. She found a love for comforting the elderly and sick, as well as being a companion to them. Carol was also trained in labor and delivery, Cardiac ICU, the surgical floor as well as the general surgery clinic. During this time she met and married her husband, William H. Cobb.  She was honorably discharged in April of 1971, where she then happily settled into the career as a wife and homemaker.

Later, Carol took on the role as the Protestant Religious Education Coordinator of Chapel 3, a position she held for 13 years. She took pride in her job, creating a Sunday school and VBS program for the church, which she built from the ground up. This included creating and directing many Christmas and Easter programs.  She held many other jobs to help support her family from having an in-home daycare, to becoming a Lifeguard so she could protect her kids in the water.  She was a published writer, a Den Mother, Cub Master, Sunday school teacher, Math Tutor, Soccer Team Mom and many other things.  However, her greatest accomplishments came from being a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother.  She loved her family deeply and unconditionally.

Her greatest desire was to bring the love of Christ into the hearts of those she knew and loved, to share the good news and be a living example of God’s love.  Carol was a woman filled with the Holy Spirit as well as a childlike joy that seemed to pour out onto everyone who knew her.  She was a mighty prayer warrior who’s faith and trust in God never waivered.  When struck with illness, she continued to keep her eyes fixed on Jesus, and offered up prayers for those in their own suffering.  She remained faithful and constant in her walk with God until the very end.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Betty Strimel; brother, Robert Strimel; husband, William H. Cobb; her infant, Robin; and son-in-law, Pedro M. Reyna IV.

She is survived by her son, Christopher M. Cobb and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Julie Teague and husband, Carl; daughter, Wendy Oomging and husband, Boyd; daughter, Allison Reyna and son, Nathaniel Cobb; her 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
