GRANBURY — Carol Louise Miller Yocom (70), devoted and cherished mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed peacefully on Nov. 22, 2014. A stunning beauty who loved to dance, Carol lit up every room she entered with her bubbly personality and infectious smile. She had such a huge heart, not only for her family and friends, but for any person or animal she met. It is poetic that it was her beautiful heart that decided it was time to return home.
Memorial service: A memorial services for Carol will be held on December 6, 2014, 10:00 am at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas, followed by graveside service at Shannon Rose Hill cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
Carol was born Oct. 7, 1944 to Robert Prentice (Ted) and Esther Theople Miller, and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She graduated from Eastern Hills High School and attended Texas Wesleyan University. She was an accomplished secretary and held long term positions with Bell Helicopter and Ebasco. Carol, having moved to Granbury, TX with her children in 1978, was also a self-starting business owner having held both a children’s resale shop, Buttons & Bows, and a bridal business, Collections Bridal, in Granbury. She and her family are members of Polytechnic Methodist Church.
Carol’s talents were many; in fact she was a league bowler who once bowled a 280 game. She also was a talented artist with a skilled hand for sketching people and animals, and was a gifted and elegant wedding decorator. Her daughter recalls Carol’s ability to play the piano beautifully, and will forever remember her rendition of the hymn “He
