Carol was born on March 11th, 1946 in Orlando, Florida. She attended Castleberry High School in Fort Worth and earned a teaching degree at Texas Christian University.
Carol’s faith was the centerpiece of her life as she walked with God, as evidenced by her courageous battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. Through her entire illness, Carol was always a positive person full of Joy! Even after her diagnosis, Carol always shared her Love for the Lord, and her belief in him never wavered. How we all treasured the short time we had with her, and will see her again one day.
Carol was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years. She taught in Fort Worth, The Woodlands Christian Academy and Conroe ISD. Carol’s greatest delight was teaching children to read and write, and how important it was to be a good citizen.
Carol was also talented in Arts and Crafts and painting. She loved to read Karen Kingsbury books and saved every one of them. (We moved them for 20 years)
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Col. James Pershing Zwayer and Lucille Ruth Delay. Carol is survived by her husband of 21 years Major Michael Stepp; Daughters Jill Brashear, husband David; Julie Woodson.
