ALVORD — Carrie E. Mell, 96, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 in Alvord. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Carrie was born Oct. 8, 1918 in Granbury to F.M. “Bud” and Rena West Endsley. She married Frank Torres in 1986. Carrie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord and a home health aide. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and was a wonderful cook. She loved her family. Carrie was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Mell and a daughter, Melody Gonzales.

Survivors: Husband, Frank Torres; grandchildren, Dawn Maxwell, Robert and wife, Sandie Maxwell and Michael and wife, Ashley Young; great grandchildren, Codie, Taylor, Michael Jr., Joshua, Felicity and Destiny; great great grandchildren, Oracio Jr., Mac, Alexanna and Trinity.
