GRANBURY — Charlene Ann Buckley Johnson-Lessard, 80, slipped into God’s loving arms on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Wiley Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Charlene was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Nov. 19, 1933, to Raymond P. Buckley and Corrine Martin Buckley. She was raised in Dallas and Fort Worth and was married to Frederick G. Johnson for 44 years. They owned and managed business property in Fort Worth for more than 40 years, and many of those years she spent raising their five children. Charlene’s lifelong hobby was breeding and showing Cocker Spaniels.
Charlene was preceded in death by both parents and husband, Fred Johnson. She later married Roger R. Lessard, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was also prededed in death by nephew, Walter “Trey” Ford.
Survivors: Children: Rick Johnson of Granbury, Lyn Peters of Austin, Jim Johnson of Stephenville, Lauri Baker and husband, Larry, of Granbury, David Johnson of Stephenville; eight grandchildren: Trisha and Tera Johnson, Dana Hopkins, Shelly Peters, Evan Johnson, Bradley and Alexis Baker, Megan Johnson; four great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Ford of San Marcos; nieces: Sharon Graves of Fischer and Karen Ford of Austin.
