Andrew Heimer, 42, passed away, Monday, August 27, 2018. His funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018. Service: 11:00 A.M, Visitation: 10:00 AM at Lakeside Baptist Church, Interment: Acton Cemetery, Granbury.

Andrew was born April 20, 1976, in Fort McClellan, Alabama, to Paulette (Jackson) and Larry Heimer. He was a loving husband and father. He was devoted to his two sons and together they all shared a love of hunting and fishing. Andrew served in the United States Marine Corps for seven years. While in service, he completed two tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. Andrew became an honored member of The Fort Worth Fire Department in May of 2006 and was part of recruit class 64. In July of 2008, Andrew was assigned to Station 12 and diligently served the citizens of North Fort Worth. Andrew was the cornerstone of his station and will be dearly missed by his brothers in service. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Harold and Luella Heimer and maternal grandmother: Betty Jo Jackson.

Andrew is survived by his loving wife: Aimee Smith Heimer; sons: Ashton and Aubrey Heimer. Father and Mother-in-law: Don and Jaynee Smith; Sister-in-law: Shawna Smith. Parents: Larry and Paulette Heimer; Sisters: Charlotte Relihan and husband Mark, Catherine Heimer; Nephew: Gunner; Uncle: Robert Jackson; In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Fort Worth Fire Fighters Emergency Fund, P.O. Box 6838, Fort Worth, Texas 76115.

Services will be under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.
