Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Rainbow Baptist Church, Rainbow, Texas..

Interment: Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose.
Charles was born in Millville, New Jersey to Charles & Grace Veale Hughes, Sr. He was a resident of Glen Rose for 40 years. Mr. Hughes served in the U. S. Navy and was both a Master Mason and Past Master of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors: wife, Linda Hughes; sons, Alan Hughes and wife, Lori Jean, of Nashville, Tennessee and Michael Hughes and wife, Racquel, of Beaumont, Texas; daughters, Charlene Dougherty of Arlington  and Debbie Hopp and husband, Bill, of Galloway, New Jersey; 13 grandchildren, 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
