GRANBURY — Charles Rex Covert, 90, passed away peacefully at his home, at 5:15 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, in Granbury.
Funeral: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Granbury First United Methodist Church. Burial: Military and Masonic services will be held at the gravesite at Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Granbury First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Covert was born Apr. 15, 1921, in Cameron, W.Va., to Harry and Pearl Covert. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. after retirement he moved to Granbury. He worked for the City of Granbury at the airport for 10 years. Rex was a 32nd degree Mason. In August 2011 he recieved his 65th year pen from the Masonic Lodge #620 of Granbury and also was a Scotish Rite and a Shriner.

Survivors: Wife, Peggy; son, Stephen R. Covert; step-son, Ricky Copeland and wife, Kristie; grandchildren, Bradi and Lyndsi; three step-grandchildren; four step great grandchildren.
