Charlotte Huffman

Charlotte Huffman, 76, passed away at home Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Service: 11 a.m. Sunday at Cresson Fire Station, Cresson Texas. Burial: Cresson Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Cresson Volunteer Fire Department.
Charlotte was born April 26, 1939 in Poland, Ohio to LaVergne and Laura Benzenhoefer. She was one of twelve children. Charlotte was in the U.S. Navy when she met Joe Huffman, Jr. on a blind date and they married August 15, 1959 in Charleston, SC. She retired from Sears in the early 90’s. Charlotte was a Volunteer Firefighter in Cresson. She also served as secretary and treasurer for the Cresson Fire Department. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joe; her parents; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors: sons Jeff (Dana) Huffman, Rick (Jamie) Huffman; grandchildren Jennifer Huffman, Jeffrey Huffman, Chase Huffman, Joe Thomas Huffman, Chance Huffman, Kelly Peterson, Jr.; great grandchildren Destiny, Colton, Jessie; brothers Thomas, Gary, Ronnie, David and Kenny Benzenhoefer; sisters Susie Schaefer and Ida Swesey; many nieces and nephews.
