Chris Nachtigall, 83, of Glen Rose, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose, Interment: Duffau Cemetery, Visitation: 6:00 PM -8:00 PM, Monday, February 11, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose.
Chris was born on August 22, 1935 in Hico, Texas to Christian and Winnie Nachtigall. He married Bengie Tanner on August 27, 1984 in Glen Rose, Texas. He loved his grandchildren so much and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed being outside and loved, fishing, deer hunting and gardening. Chris was a master gardener and the Somervell County Gardener. He was also a vendor on the County Square.
Chris was preceded in death by his parent, daughter: Christal Lynn Nachtigall, brother: Max Nachtigall, and sister: Helen McLean.
Chris is survived by his wife: Bengie Nachtigall, daughters: Trish Littleton and husband Jody of Hico, and Laurie Ratliff and husband Otto of Eulogy, grandchildren: Austin Carver, Tyrell Ratliff, Hunter Ratliff, Racia Ratliff, Autumn Cheney, four great-grandchildren, siblings: Ronnie Nachtigall and wife Judy, Mary Louise Engler, JoAnn Rainwater and husband Alton, sister-in-law: Rayenell Chiles and husband Dick, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
