GRANBURY — Chris McBroom, 53, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 in Granbury. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel. Burial: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Baptist Church.
Chris was born May 17, 1959 in Denton to Robert and Mary Clark McBroom. He served in the U.S. Navy and was the owner and operator of a construction business. He married Glenda Stewart on January 30, 1980 in Granbury. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed barbecuing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Perry Stewart.
Survivors: Wife, Glenda McBroom of Granbury; son, Shane and wife, Randi McBroom of Rainbow; daughter, Shonda and husband, Mike Tribble of Granbury; grandchildren, Kaylee, Lexi and Ariana; brothers, Dane McBroom of Oakwood, Bobby McBroom of Bellvue, Wash. and John Gregory of Bellvue, Wash.; sisters, Cathy Bettinger of Watauga, Lisa Osburne of Bellvue, Wash., Michelle McBroom of Lincoln City, Ore. and Kim Wagner of Lincoln City, Ore.; mother, Mary Stamps of Watauga; father, Bob McBroom of Watauga; numerous nieces and nephews.
