GRANBURY — Clara G. Minchew, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in Flower Mound.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Minchew was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Tribbey, Okla., to Bill and Gaston Downing Northcutt. She married Sanford S. “Sandy” Minchew, Dec. 17, 1976, in Gainsville, Texas. She had lived in Granbury for 22 years and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting, gardening, camping, fishing, basketball and cooking. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sister, Elsie Cossey, brothers, Bill Northcutt and Gene Northcutt.
Survivors: Children and spouses, Sharon and Ben Bruehl of Norman, Okla., Randy and Mary Akin of Oklahoma City, Okla., Teresa and Mike Palpant of Grapevine, Sandie Johnson of Bedford, Rick Minchew of Wimberley, Judy Minchew of Irving; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Jen Bruehl, Jeanifer and Brad Golden, Randy, Jr. and Kacy Akin, Zak Akin, Tricia and Logan McWhorter, Stephanie and Blake Burnett, Justin Palpant, Gary and Christy Johnson, Sarah and Roger Callovi; great grandchildren, Paige, Kali, Lani, Jaxson, Ella, Marshall and one on the way, baby McWhorter, Audrey, Dakota, Dallen, Daisey, Trent, Nathan, Addison; brother, Harold Northcutt, James Northcutt; sister, Mary Clark; first husband, James Akin of Norman, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
