Colleen “Bunna” Forrester, 82, passed away peacefully in her home January 13, 2020.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Biggers Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday January 18, 2020 at Biggers Funeral Home.
Colleen was born June 29, 1937 in Springtown to John Henry Springfield and Edith Slate Springfield.
“Bunna” was a huge sports fan. She had the best sense of direction, no map ever needed for her! She could find any ballfield in Texas to watch a Castleberry Lions or Lake Worth Bullfrogs ball game, and of course, she loved cheering for the Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. The last sports event she was following was her great-grandson, Dustin Mathis, on Friday and Saturday night playing basketball at Dallas University.
Colleen worked in the banking industry for 46 years, retiring from Bank of America.
Her family wishes to send a special “thank you” to her two best friends, Beth Lorentz and Shirley Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Edith Springfield; by her late husband, Grady Sessions, and a grandson, Greg Mathis.
Survivors: She is survived by her children, Greg Sessions and wife, Zana, Suzanne
