Curtis Ray Alexander, Jr., 69, of Glen Rose, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020. Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2020, Stonewater Church, Glen Rose, Interment: Squaw Creek Cemetery, Lie in State: 10:00 AM -8:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose with the family greeting friends from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM.
Curtis was born on November 9, 1950 in Midland, Texas to Jean and Curtis Ray Alexander, Sr. He married Margaret Sue Laxton on January 24, 1970 in Ada, Oklahoma and he was a loving husband and father.
Curtis loved God and everyone knew how strong his faith was. He was a prayer warrior and was a member of Stonewater Church, Glen Rose. He was an empathetic, giving, behind the scenes guy, who never met a stranger, and was a father to many.
Curtis was a cattleman, a profession that he truly loved. Some of his favorite sayings were “I can fix anything from a broken heart to a space shuttle”, “It’s all good”, “Every day’s a good day”, and “Just another piece of the puzzle of life”. He was preceded in death by his parents: Curtis and Jean Alexander, son: Curtis Dewayne Alexander, and brother: Terry Alexander.
Curtis is survived by his wife: Sue Alexander, children: Melissa Duncan and her husband Karl, and Michael Alexander and his wife Margaret, grandchildren: Emma Duncan, Addison Duncan, and Payton Alexander, brother: Mark Alexander, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
