Cynthia Williams Polk Robinson on Sunday October 14, 2012, flew away on the wings of Angels to be in Heaven with her Heavenly Father. Her late husband, Julius B. Polk, her parents James Arthur and Lorene Williams, and her sister, Brenda L. Foster were waiting for her.
Funeral: 12 noon Saturday at Destiny Church, 3508 Blue Springs Dr. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
The lovely Mrs. Cynthia Williams Polk Robinson was born March 20, 1956, in Wichita Falls. Cynthia was the 3rd child of 7 by Mr. & Mrs. James A. Williams Sr. At an early age she began to develop her love for playing the piano, which she carried with her all her life. She attended Rider High school where she was drill team captain and earned the prestigious honor of being Ms. Booker T. Washington. Upon her graduation in the spring of 1974 she moved to Fort Worth to continue her education at Tarrant County Junior College.
In 1976 she was introduced to Julius B. Polk. They married in 1978 and she loved and nurtured his two children from a previous marriage. God blessed their union with two beautiful girls and their family thrived. Those children returned the blessing with 10 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Cynthia was married to Julius for twenty-five years before he preceded her in death in 2003. God then sent Tyrone D. Robinson to her life and they were married in March 2004.
Cynthia held a variety of jobs including TXU and IBM before she ventured out to form her own business Designs by Three where she pursued her passions in floral design, interior decorating and wedding planning. In 1988 she accepted Christ as her personal savoir and her life was forever changed by God’s love. She devoted her life serving in various ministries with her husband Tyrone such as music ministry, children’s ministry and outreach ministry.
Survivors: She will forever be remembered and loved by husband, Tyrone D. Robinson; her dedicated daughters, Brandi J. Ervin and husband Jashon and Crystal V. Wilson and husband Virgil, Christi E. Brown and Ezell; her son Jeffrey B. Polk; grandchildren Trent, Christopher, Asjah, Myles, Kenny, David, Niya, Jayden, Jaylin, Calvin, Aiden, and Dawson; brothers, James Williams Jr., Glen Williams, and Carl Williams; sisters, Jerlene Newton and husband William, and Shelia Howard; and a host of other relatives and special friends who hold her dear to their hearts.
