Daniel Lee Teafatiller, 81, passed away October 12, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas

Daniel was born October 20, 1939, in Atoka, Oklahoma to John and Florence Teafatiller. He was a graduate of Coolidge High School and joined the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. After the military duty, he began a 37-year career with the US Postal Service retiring as a Postmaster, in DeKalb, Texas. Daniel enlisted in the National Guard where he served a tour in Bosnia before retiring again as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Teafatiller and two older sisters, Evelyn Downs and Treon Erwin.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of 48 years; daughter, Tonja Upchurch and her husband, John; stepchildren, HD Peters and his wife, Becky and Lois Ann Peters; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
