Danny Abar, passed away on October 4, 2021, in Burleson, Texas after a month-long fight with pneumonia. Danny was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 7, 1956, to Danny and Betty Abar. He
graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1974.
He worked in multiple occupational fields throughout his life, such as General Motors in the automobile industry, Vaught/LTV in the aviation industry and VHA in the medical industry. He earned
a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a Master’s Degree in International Business, and was a Certified Financial Planner.
Danny had a love for music from an early age. He played saxophone and was a member of his high school and All-State Choir. He also won multiple International Barbershop Championships as a
member of the Vocal Majority of Dallas, Texas.
Danny also had a love for all things water, especially the ocean. He took sailing lessons for many years with a goal of living out his life on a sailboat. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast and
recently purchased his first Harley-Davidson.
Danny was always known as someone who would give the shirt off his back for others. He always wanted to help people in any way that he could. After moving to Granbury, Texas, Danny began to
volunteer at the local food pantry. He also became a member of the Marine Corps League, assisting with Toys for Tots. Danny also started a non-profit, Safety Net Resources, with a vision to assist
autistic children.
Danny is survived by his mother and father, Danny and Betty Abar, his sisters Christy and Candy, and his son Jody Abar, daughter-in-law Katherine Abar, and grandsons Peyton and Austin Abar.
He is also survived by his best friend and dog, Romeo.
