When i think of Daphne, I am reminded of the quote from Maya Angelou "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Daphne was a very special person who made everyone she met feel loved and appreciated. This was a rare gift and she was able to maintain it even when she was in obvious pain for the cancer treatments. She will be sorely missed by everyone she touched, and our hearts go out to Mike and the family. May her memory help sustain them.

I remember so many times and places I enjoyed Daphne at GWPC events. She spoke of Mike being a kind and patient husband. When we were last together in Santa Fe last fall I observed his kindness to purchase her a beautiful cashmere scarf as it was unusually cold. there. The way he wrapped that scarf around was so tender and moved me. She often spoke of Melissa and her pride of her and the joy of her grandchildren. Scott and I will deeply miss her.
