David Byler, 70, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Memorial service: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2018, Inn on the River, Glen Rose.
David was born on June 28, 1947 in Maywood, California to Ray and Margie Byler. He married Linda Ellis on October 19, 1985 in Aubrey, Texas.
David was a very intelligent and artistic person. He was a Russian translator during the Vietnam War and was quick to pick up other languages for his vacation traveling. He started his own business as a Master Plumber and Contractor and his customers were lifetime customers who trusted only him. He was a great photographer, carpenter, artist and cook. He could create about anything with his hands. He could create novels in his head and was encouraged to write but he never did. He loved to fish, was a Scuba Dive Master and loved his freedom when he rode on his motorcycle. Music was the rhythm in his life and he was a Great Dancer, loved a good cigar and looked awesome in a hat.
He loved his 3 four legged babies, Jenney, Katy and Wendy as though they were his own children. He loved his family and lifelong friends and his new acquaintances in Glen Rose and Walnut Springs which is now home.
David is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Ellis Byler, siblings: Kenneth Byler and wife Nancy, Betty Martin and husband Cary, Judy Reyna, and Karen Anderson and husband Bruce, and nieces and nephews: Scott, Klay, Mark, Danny, Marlon, Keith and Michelle.
