David was born in Linton, Indiana on July 9. 1940, to Hubert E. and Mary Geneva Miller Davis. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961, stationed at Fort Clayton, Panama Canal Zone.
David had a true zest for life – his family, music, singing, fishing, competing in sports he loved – tennis, golf, basketball and baseball. His high energy, competitive nature and enthusiasm served him very well in his chosen field of sales, management, and training in the Manufactured Housing Industry. His unique approach and aptitude for communication created strong bonds and trust among customer, co-workers and employees at every level. He met and exceeded sales goals year in and year out and left a high standard to follow.
David loved deeply and cherished his family. His wife Laurie joined him in the manufactured housing business and together they were a formidable team, surpassing goals and achieving great success.
David is survived by his loving wife Laurie; son Jeff and his wife Pam, daughter Lori; grandchildren Lacy and husband Tim, Mason, Payton, and Madie; great grandchildren Kinley, Kaylee and Paxton; brothers Wayne and his wife Sara, Chuck and his wife Janet, Robert and his wife Sharon; former spouse Judy Cox; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear lifelong friends.
Dave’s battle with Alzheimer’s has come to an end. He is whole, free, singing with the Angels and sitting at the feet of our Savior.
