David Lee was my cousin as well as the church piano player for many years at House Of Prayer in Haltom City, Tx where i grew up. He was one of my favorite piano players. We never knew what key we sang in because David always just knew. No one had to tell him. He was also an awesome Sunday school teacher. We had a lot of fun on our Sunday school field trips, like when we went to Reunion Tower and we decided to come back down the steps instead of the elevator..ha our legs were shaking so bad we could hardly walk but we were all laughing!! I was privileged to have David play the piano for my wedding in 1988. No one could play the Wedding March like he could! It was beautiful..I'm sure he is now playing in Heaven with the angels at the feet of Jesus..we are praying for all the family..we love you Debbie Dwana Dayla Derek and all the others..our hearts are with you during this time..the world has lost a talented man and Heaven has gained one..Sincerely, Wendy Morgan Call Gavit

Debbie and family, no words can express how heavy my heart is for the family. At one of my my lowest points in my life, David Lee Long gave me some words of encouragement that I have held onto for many years, these words have never left my heart. Though I grieve with y'all, I keep thinking that "eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him", I totally rejoice for David. I love you all and God comfort you.

Bro David was my friend as well as the Gavit's friend.He played for as we harmony to alot of the Inspiration Quartet songs.He was always upbeat and would cut up with all of us and make us happy.We sang one song that stands out to me right now( One Morning You'll Find Me Touring That City).That's what my friend David is doing right now!! l love all of the family and soon we will reunite and what a time we'll have.

A great man of God, my dear friend David Long went to be with The Lord on Sunday. We became fast friends when I went to work at FBC Lakeside in July 2015. He was a unique and SUPER musical talent! I nicknamed him "perfesser" because he was the professor of the keyboard; but he was too down-to-earth to call "professor." God, be with Debbie, Dwana, his entire family, and the throngs of Christian friends he has made over the years. He put up a good fight, and now he is walking the streets of Glory.

I will never forget the seed that was planted in me and I'm very thankful to have had a great man, as a child, be an example of good work ethic, fatherhood and the following of faith. Him and Debbie were leaders in our worship service when we all were at North Main Church of God, and when they left God told him to start a church which was called Soul Habor. I belong there . The church grew. His music always bless me. He was a man of God and he will be miss. We don't know God's plan. But we will be all together one day . My prayers and sympathy goes out to the whole family.
